Friday past, my friend Dunai had a birthday party. About 10 people were coming with seats reserved, but everyone pulled out last minute except for myself and Chris. We weren't going to let that stop us though. We had pot luck at Ma Ma Sichuan, which was average, and then went karaoke at Party World, upstairs in Melbourne Central.
Though service was nice, the music selection won't appeal unless you like Chinese music; not a lot of English songs. Also, I didn't like how they we had to take the special they had which was minimum $238, rather than allowing us to just go in, sing, and order what we want, if we want.

In solution to my previous article in using TV out on the PSP, because buying the necessary adapter is too costly, I went back to step one, RemoteJoy, which was an application on the PSP to display what you were doing on your computer monitor via USB connection.
This had various problems, which was why I never used it much, but upon looking around again and noticing the RemoteJoy Lite version, I gave it a go; it works fabulously.

Last night, for a charity function, a speed dating session was held to which I was pulled along to.
Being told the theme was red, myself and a few others went shopping on the Tuesday. On Wednesday, I received a message from the organisers that red was only preferable, not mandatory; well, there goes more money down the drain.
Overall, it was an enjoyable night, something different, and something to do.

Saturday afternoon to evening was all fun and games at the Footscray 1st Ward Christmas Party.
We had our feast, caroling, Santa, and a couple of games to finish off the night.
A few of my friends came along which was great to see but I had forgotten to invite more; I just wasn't thinking straight with all the running around I've been doing and also the youth Christmas party which we will be having this Tuesday to finish off the youth program for this year, and resume February next year.

I've always used a WEP key for my wireless security, but a friend I met in Utah used MAC address filtering. Coming home, I didn't think I would need it, but now I do and have written this little tutorial for enabling and configuring MAC filtering.
MAC filtering isn't full proof, but it will give you that additional protection.
What you want to have is WPA2-PSK, or personal, enabled with a long passphrase of numerals and letters, both lower and upper case, and by using the additional filtering, hackers will need to go through two defenses, rather than just one.
I'll eventually have a section for tutorials on their own, but for now, I'll put it here while I get things organised.
