Though celebrating it a bit early due to time constraints, my two friends Alice and Jennifer celebrated their 21st birthday Friday 9th at the Phoenix bar. Opinion of the bar; ok place, but bad customer service.

This was a joint birthday party so we had friends from both sides coming; around 50 people turned up, and it was great catching up with old friends I hadn't talked to for a while.

Before heading to the party, we went to a restaurant near Melbourne University called Garage, where you can drive in and park your car into it also.

It really has been a long time since I've done anything here hasn't it?

Well, I've mainly been working on my online shop, Laptops and Computers Pty Ltd, and then some socialising; working on balancing everything in my life. The same commitment I had set on that, I want to do here also, at least one article a week; I'll eventually get there.

Other than that, few things had been happening.

The Great Ocean Road PDF Print E-mail

Well, today's the day I leave for the Great Ocean Road. Leaving Wednesday morning, returning Friday late afternoon.

We don't have a lot planned but simply going to Apollo Bay, 12 Apostles, Otway Fly, and the general scenic drive; whatever happens, happens.

On Saturday, I will also be heading up for the Wyndham Stake youth raft race up in Anglesea; near the Great Ocean. I think we can win, our youth have done well in their rowing techniques.

So this is going to be a long week with lots of driving and scenary, but also going to be a lot of fun.

Well, better late than never; myself, Alice, Jennifer, and Elison travelled down the Great Ocean Road last week.

Great road to drive fast on, but during the bends and turns, it can be fun making strong turns with your car, albiet dangerous. I drove properly of course because I did have passengers after all.

Beautiful scenary as people say, but as one friend commented, the driver does miss out on half of it as you'd need to concentrate on the road more.

In a quick nutshell, we left Wednesday morning, stayed at Apollo Bay, had a quick swim that Wednesday, visited Otway Fly and 12 Apostles on Thursday, and visited Lornes Erskine Waterfall on Friday, before returning home that afternoon.

I am legal to drive PDF Print E-mail

Well, I had lost my car license for 6 months from speeding and running red lights, no intentionally of course - though there were a few instances of such, I now am able to legally drive again.

It's been a grueling 6 months where I had to rely on others for transportation. Although transportation was generally available, finding, asking, and organising it with them, is much more hassling that it is me being the driver and just knowing where to go and to drive who.

So my advice to you? Slam your brakes on the yellow lights; those red light cameras are dodgy.

Though, it isn't all happy galore, this also means car registrations, car insurance, fuel, and more errands to do. Oh well, such is life.
