I remember the time I used to have a bigger fish aquarium, and it was very nice. I don't know what happened to it ever since though, but after receiving a free mini aquarium from Christmas promotions, I took it home right away. Not much I can say but it's an aquarium with fake fish, and a small one too.
The tanks water current can be powered by USB or by 2 x AA batteries, and the blue LED light can be powered by either also; 4 x AA batteries in total. Although the LED light is located in the middle and concentrated there, it does light up the tank nicely.
I liked the fact that they made the tails on hinges so that it would flap side to side to provide a more life like feel, but it hardly moves. Something that I miss from my big tank.
But that isn't the only problem. The fish swim around too quickly in a circular pattern only; turning around and around here and there. It is probably because of the small tank as the current blown may be too strong for such a small tank to provide a nice subtle feel. The lack of fluid motion and flapping tails was a slight let down for me after remembering about my old tank.
But if you're looking for something small and quirky to decorate the desk a little, there's nothing wrong with a small tank of fake fish swimming around all day.
