I've recently signed up for wireless broadband with Virgin. I was looking for a small 1GB a month plan just to do quick work while on the go and found Virgin to have the best deal regardless of contract or pre-paid.

At only $14.95 a month for 1GB, then capped down speed with extra 250MB, then disconnection until top-up or new month; best value for month. Because I didn't have a modem, I add an extra $5 to the cost and still all in all, only $19.95, which is one of the cheapest I've found.

They have other plans available including 2GB and 5GB and you can upgrade and downgrade the account at any time as you see fit.

So far, everything works well and speeds are good. I haven't tested download speeds specifically but hey, its cheap, it works, and its fast enough regardless.
