We flew out of Melbourne on the 4th of December to Auckland and switched planes to get to Los Angeles on the 5th. We then took another plane straight to Salt Lake City where our friends Ray, Diane, and Britton welcomed us and drove us around a little.

The flight to America as long and tiring as we would get out and check straight into our next flight. There were delays in checking in and out, but also for transport. But we managed to make it to all of our flights and the only reason why we were 30 minutes behind schedule was because the plane had to change its wheels. But all is well, all is well.

We went to the Festival of the Trees that night and though there were many Christmas trees on show, only a handful were a little more unique or well designed. The rest looked great but very standard in the decorations and approach.

For those whom do not know of this event, its when people gather together with a tree and decorate it. It is then displayed and auctioned out where all proceeds will go towards the children's hospital in the area. There is food and musicals to get everyone into the holiday spirit.

Yesterday, 5th, we went to see Christmas Around The World which is a musical from different cultures presenting their form of celebration. There were a few boring ones because they were slow, but the majority were upbeat and fast dances which looked and sounded great. We drove around town rest of that night and took some photos of early decorations on houses and there are some very impressive ones down here so far already. We're excited about the remaining and also decorating the Tuckett's house.

So far everything has been great and pictures will be up soon. We're looking forward to the rest of our holiday.
