On my quest to find a job, I finally found a place at Toyota Boshoku Australia. I work in the welding department and as a casual worker there.
Coming up is also my appointment with the Army Reserve which I'm not sure what will happen from there. Seeing as I'm doing okay TBA, if I was accepted into the reserve, I'm not sure if I would take it now; even though there are huge benefits in it.
Since I needed work, I thought I would grab down the work places of my parents, whom in this case would be my Mother's work place. I went in, dropped off my resume, and never heard anything since.
Seeing as I need to do a fortnightly report on jobs I have been searching at, the AR was one of them. They called me up, organised an appointment with me, and mailed my the tests I need to complete and information for what I needed to do.
Nearing to the date of the appointment, I received a call from TBA and they told me they needed someone to work temporarily, which I thought I'd go do since I had nothing else to do. Went in, got the position, and started work next day, Tuesday this week; forgetting that my appointment with the AR was closer than I though.
I quickly picked up what I needed to do in my position, which was preparing springs, attaching the springs for some seats, tightening the bolts, clipping in some wires, and harnessing them to the springs. Sounds easy, is easy, but you have to be quick and accurate.
I quickly picked up on speed, not as fast as the veterans though, but accuracy is still something I need to work on, which I've greatly improved though mind you.
But now establishing something here, if the AR did accept me, to just jump out of Toyota Boshoku Australia so quickly just feels rude and disrespectful; hopefully I can work out some kind of compromise with the Army Reserve.
